Dropped Filled Cookies

   Mix shortening, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, milk, soda and flour.

   Drop by teaspoonful 3 inches apart.

   Add 1/2 teaspoon filling and drop another teaspoon of dough on top.

   Do not press down too hard.

   Bake at 375u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.

   Makes 4 dozen or so. You can use apricot or grape jelly, cherry pie filling or raisins are very good.

   Also strawberry jelly makes a good cookie.
