5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
4 teaspoon baking pwdr
2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 pound butter
2 tbsp. Crisco
4 egg yolks
1/2 pt. lowfat sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Healthy pinch of salt
2 1/2 c. grnd walnuts
1/2 c. sugar
Jam or possibly lekvar

Sift together flour, sugar, baking pwdr, baking soda, and salt.

Add in Crisco and butter; add in egg yolks, lowfat sour cream, and vanilla.

Divide dough into 3 portions.

Roll out first layer as for pie; place in bottom of pan.

Spread nuts and sugar mix on first layer.

Roll out second layer; place over nuts.

Spread this layer with jam or possibly lekvar; sprinkle a little of the nut and sugar mixtures over jam.

Roll out third layer; cut into strips.

Place on top to create lattice work.

Bake for 25 min at 350 degrees.
