Preheat oven to 425u00b0F. Line 2 round springform cake pans, 4 inches and 8 inches in diameter, with parchment paper.

Melt the chocolate and the butter in a bain marie or in a heat-proof bowl over a pan of hot water, stirring gently to combine. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

Beat the eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt until smooth. Pour in the chocolate butter and stir to combine. Transfer the mixture to the cake pans. Bake 8-10 minutes for the smaller cake and 20 minutes for the larger one, until set but still soft at the center. Remove from oven and allow to cool in pans overnight.

To serve, remove cakes from pans. Place the smaller cake on top of the larger one, then dust with powdered sugar and serve.
