1
Start by boiling water.
-
2
Peel potatoes and peel off the skin of the carrots.
-
3
Make sure the water is at least filled half way in a pot.
-
4
Chop the potatoes and carrots into small bite size pieces.
-
5
Place the carrots in first and then place the potatoes on top.
-
6
Grab a pan.
-
7
Chop one onion into small bite size pieces and place them in the pan.
-
8
Add the beef.
-
9
Do not add oil.
-
10
Add seasoning, pepper and basil.
-
11
Boil the potatoes and carrots until they are soft but not soggy.
-
12
Then add them to the beef.
-
13
Stir for a little and then set it off to the side.
-
14
Grab another small pot and dice the other onion into small bite size pieces.
-
15
Add them with oil into the pot and add 2 cans of hunts salsa.
-
16
Add seasonings.
-
17
I usually use black pepper or garlic salt.
-
18
Put as much Masa as you want into a mixing bowl.
-
19
Add cold water and mix using your hands.
-
20
Adding Salt is an option.
-
21
When the Masa is smooth, start making little circle tortillas out of them.
-
22
Once you have one made put a little of the beef stuffing into the tortilla.
-
23
You can also add cheese if you want to.
-
24
American, Swiss, motzzerella etc.
-
25
Then press the stuffing gently down into the tortilla and close the top.
-
26
Like your folding a Taco or a piece of paper.
-
27
It does take some practice.
-
28
Grab another pan add oil to cover the surface only and start to place them in.
-
29
They should look like a crisp brown color.
-
30
Flip them and cook them thoroughly or they turn out soggy in the middle.
-
31
Be careful they are easy to burn.
-

Enjoy :)
