1 2/3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves (optional)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1 egg
2 Tbsp. liquid Sucaryl or Sweet*10
1 c. unsweetened applesauce
1/3 c. raisins
1 c. whole bran cereal (I use Post Grape-Nuts)

Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and baking soda.

Mix butter, Sucaryl or Sweet*10 and egg until light and fluffy.

Then add flour mixture and applesauce alternately, mixing well after each addition.

Fold in raisins and cereal.

Drop by level teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake in 350u00b0 oven for about 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes about 48 cookies. Keeps better if refrigerated.
