Delicious Cucumber Pickles

   Cover the whole washed cucumbers in boiling water.

   Let stand overnight and then drain.

   Repeat this procedure for the next 3 days.

   On the 5th day, drain and slice each cucumber into 1/2-inch chunks.

   Combine the sugar and spices with the salt and vinegar; bring to a boil.

   When boiling, pour over cucumber slices.

   Let this mixture stand for 2 days.

   On the 3rd day, bring the mixture to boiling and then seal in hot jars.
