   In a large bowl with electric mixer, cream together the butter, butter and 1/2 c. of the granulated sugar till the mix is light and fluffy, beat in the flour and oats.

   Flatten the balls with the bottom of a small juice glass, dip in additional granulated sugar.

   Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12-15 min or possibly till pale golden brown.

   Cold cookies and dust with confectioners' sugar.
