1
In one large pot, get your water starting to boil for your pasta.
-
2
Cook as the pasta package directs you to.
-
3
Start dicing up your Velveeta in cubes.
-
4
Its easier to melt this way.
-
5
See all the little specks in there?
-
6
Thats the Mexican Velveeta.
-
7
Be sure to get that and not the regular Velveeta.
-
8
Its a little hard to find, but ya gotta have it!
-
9
Add the sour cream and the Rotel to the Velveeta.
-
10
Now comes the best part.
-
11
Open up that can of diced jalapenos.
-
12
Scoop in a fourth of the can into the Velveeta mixture.
-
13
This is a good kick in the head.
-
14
Not so hot that you cant eat it.
-
15
But not for the faint of heart either.
-
16
(Now after the dish is all combined, and if you want even more of a kick, by all means, add more!
-
17
Personally, I would add more, but I dont want my family members yelling and screaming and tearing up on me.)
-
18
Once the pasta has finished, strain and put back into the large pot.
-
19
Your Velveeta goodness should all be mixed together and melted by now.
-
20
Pour sweetly over the waiting penne.
-
21
Start combining the two.
-
22
Warning: at this point your mouth starts watering and you might break out into a Dean Martin song.
-
23
At first it might appear a bit runny, but after it sets about 5 minutes, it will thicken up just perfectly.
-
24
Heres to you, Dean!
-
25
Thats AMORE!
