Date Squares

   Cook dates and sugar in water until thick.

   Mix all other ingredients together (with your hands) until crumbly.

   Put half of mixture evenly on a cookie sheet; pat down.

   Spread date filling over this.

   Crumble rest of mixture over filling.

   (Nuts may be sprinkled on top if desired.)

   Bake in 350u00b0 oven about 20 minutes until brown.
