1 tsp. vanilla

1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. water

Pour 1 1/2 cups water (boiling) over dates; let stand until lukewarm.
