Preheat oven to 375F.

In a large bowl, cream butter, sugar and brown sugar until light and creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.

In a separate bowl add flours, salt and baking soda. Gradually add the flour mixture into the sugar mixture and beat until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and M&M's.

Drop by well rounded spoonfuls (I used an ice cream scoop) onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in the preheated oven for 8 - 10 minutes or until golden brown.
