Dad'S Fruit Cake

   Grease and flour two 4 x 8-inch loaf pans; preheat oven to 300u00b0.

   Break eggs into bowl and beat thoroughly; add sugar and beat well.

   Add baking powder and salt to flour and mix.

   Stir flour mixture into the eggs and sugar batter; add nuts and fruit.

   The pecans, cherries and dates are to be added whole.

   Bake for 1 1/2 hours.
