Add the cream, milk, garlic and salt to a pot and bring it to a simmer.

Once your mixer simmer add your potatoes, that should be peeled and cut into 5-10mm medallions.

Once your potatoes are a bit cooked and soft remove them from the mixture and spread them out in a casserole.

Then spread the mushrooms on top or the potatoes.

Toss the casserole into the oven at 200F C for 10-15min.

Take it out and spread your grated cheese on top and put back into the oven until your cheese is melted and brown if you prefer.

In a cup mix the cream of mushroom with half a cup of water, after removing your potatoes add the cream of mushroom mixture to the cream mixture and let it simmer for about a minute or two, if it gets too thick add a bit more cream.

Pour the mix into you casserole with the potatoes and mushrooms, just enough to cover the potatoes.

Switch off the oven and let it rest a bit and serve.
