1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 slices American cheese
1 c. water
1 small onion, sliced
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter

Toss potato slices in 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar.
