5 T. oil
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup cold water
FROSTING
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 T. milk

1. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, salt, and baking soda into an ungreased 8 inch square pan

2. Make 3 holes in the flour mixture with the back of a wood spoon
