Country Style Hot Dog Relish – a delicious recipe with onions, cabbage, green peppers, green tomatoes, salt, celery. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

4 c. onions
4 c. cabbage
12 green peppers or 6 green and 6 red
10 green tomatoes
1/2 c. salt
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
1 Tbsp. celery seed
1 1/2 Tbsp. turmeric
6 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar
2 c. cold water

Grind first 4 ingredients together on coarse blade of grinder (I use food processor).

Sprinkle with salt and let stand overnight.

Rinse and drain.

Combine remaining ingredients and pour over vegetable mixture.

Heat to a full boil and boil for 5 to 10 minutes.

Place in clean, sterilized jars and seal.
