2 pt. buttermilk

Sift flour, soda and salt.

Add enough buttermilk to make a soft but not thin batter.

Pour into large greased baking dish and bake 30 to 40 minutes at 400u00b0.

Take out of oven; pour broth in while tearing dressing with potato masher. Add enough broth to make a very soft batter.

Add sage, thyme, black pepper and chicken parts, boiled, boned and chopped.
