Cocoa Brownies With Salted Caramel Sauce

   Melt butter in a small sauce-pan over medium heat. Let cool slightly. Whisk sugar, cocoa, and salt in a medium bowl to combine. Pour liquid butter in into dry ingredients, whisking constantly to blend. Whisk in vanilla and Hazelnut Liqueur (if using). Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each addition. Add flour and stir until just combined. Be careful not to over mix. Scrape batter into prepared pan and put in the oven.

   Bake until top begins to crack, 25-30 minutes. You can do the toothpick check: Insert into the center and when it comes out with a few moist crumbs attached, your brownies are baked.
