Cleo'S Tea Cakes

   Beat lard and sugar until light and fluffy.

   Add vanilla and salt.

   Add alternately flour and beaten eggs.

   Dough should be firm but not sticky.

   Refrigerate 1 hour.

   Roll out 1/4 inch thick and cook on greased cookie sheets at 375u00b0 until brown on edges or make into rolls and refrigerate overnight.

   Slice 1/4 inch thick and bake as usual.

   Let cool in pan for 3 minutes before removing.
