Cinnamon Rolls – a delicious recipe with flour, salt, sugar, cake yeast, warm water, sugar. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

Servings: persons

1 scant qt. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 cake yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 Tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. melted Crisco
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
3 eggs, beaten
melted butter
brown sugar
cinnamon
chopped nuts

Mix dry ingredients.

Add yeast which has been dissolved in 1/2 cup warm water and 1 tablespoon sugar.

Mix in Crisco and milk.

Add eggs and mix well.

Let rise until double its size. Roll out flat and spread on top with melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts.

Roll up as for jelly roll and cut into slices. Place in greased muffin pans and let rise.

Bake in hot oven.
