In heavy 4-quart pot with lid, add sugar, water, syrup and salt.

Cook and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

Be careful it doesn't boil over.

After it comes to a boil, cover with lid. Cook for 1 minute, covered, then remove lid.

Cook over medium heat until candy is 300u00b0 or the hard crack stage on candy thermometer.

You don't have to stir.

Candy will change color. When dipped in cold water, will become hard.

Remove from heat and stir in margarine, food coloring and cinnamon oil.

Be careful with the cinnamon oil, it will burn your eyes and nose.

Grease 3 (9 x 13-inch) pans.

Pour into pans.

Let cool; break it up with a spoon.
