For the Cake

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift dry ingredients together set aside.

Cream together the butter and sugar, beat until mixture is pale in color, 3-5 minutes.

Beat in eggs, one at at time, until eggs are incorporated. Add 1/3 of the dry ingredients, mix until incorporated, add 1/2 of the milk, mix until incorporated, 1/3 of the dry ingredients until incorporated, the rest of the milk, mix and finish with the dry. Mix until smooth but do not over mix!

Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan and top with crumb topping.

Add brown sugar, oats, flour, butter and cinnamon in a bowl and using a pastry knife or 2 forks. The purpose is to create evenly sized pieces of butter, coated with the sugar, oats and cinnamon.
