Ingredients: 1/2 c. shortening; 1 c. sugar; 1 egg; 2 sq. chocolate; 1 tsp. vanilla; 1/4 c. milk; 2 1/2 c. sifted flour; 2 tsp. baking powder; 1/4 tsp. salt; 1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped

Cream the shortening and sugar.

Add beaten egg, melted chocolate, vanilla and milk.

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.

Add to first mixture.

Add nuts.

Drop by teaspoon onto greased baking sheet or form dough into a roll, chill and slice.

Bake at 375u00b0 until brown or done to your liking.
