Chocolate Brownies

   In top of a large double boiler set over simmering water, melt butter (cut into pieces) with cocoa powder, stirring.

   Cook the mixture until smooth.

   Remove from heat.

   Beat in sugar and eggs; stir in flour, walnuts, vanilla and salt, combining the mixture well.

   Spread the mixture evenly into a well-buttered baking pan, 13 x 9-inch, and bake at 350u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
