2 lb. chicken thighs or legs
1 (16 oz.) bottle 7-Up
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 piece lemon
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 piece bay leaf
few sprigs spring onions, cut into 1-inch strips

Marinate chicken in garlic, soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper for 15 minutes.

Add 7-Up and lemon and let stand (covered) for 30 minutes.

Place in a covered pan, add bay leaf and cook over medium to high heat.

Let boil, then simmer for 20 minutes or until done. Garnish with spring onion.
