Chicken Baked With Lemon And Basil Recipe

   Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

   Rub surface of shallow baking dish with cut side of the garlic.

   Leave garlic halves in the dish.

   Place chicken breasts in baking dish.

   Tuck basil leaf under skin of each breast.

   Season with salt and pepper.

   Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over chicken.

   Squeeze juice of lemon half over chicken.

   Cut other half into 3 or possibly 4 slices.

    Arrange on top of chicken.

    Bake the chicken, turning once or possibly twice and basting with pan juices till browned and tender, about 35 min.

    Serve hot at room temperature.
