   In a 12-inch skillet in hot oil, brown chicken.

   Remove chicken.

   Add remaining ingredients to the skillet and mix well with the drippings.

   Turn into an ungreased 13 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish and top with chicken, skin side up, in a single layer.

   Bake, uncovered, in preheated oven at 325u00b0 until the chicken is tender, browned and the skin somewhat crisp, about 1 hour.

   Sprinkle with salt and pepper.

   Serve with potatoes or dumplings, because the mixture is juicy.
