1 cup grated cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup flour
⅓ cup milk
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 (17 ounce) can creamed corn
1 dash cayenne pepper

Melt butter in large skillet and cook onion until soft and translucent.

Add chicken, sour cream, thyme, sage, salt, mushrooms and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.

Grease a 9x9x2 1/2-inch pan.

Combine cornmeal, baking powder, salt, flour, milk, egg, corn and cayenne in a medium bowl.

Stir until mixed and pour into prepared pan.
