Cherry Yogurt Blitz

   Remove frozen cherries from freezer to refrigerator early in the day. (Alternative method is to measure out the cherries and use the defrost setting on the microwave).

   Reserve 4 defrosted cherries and/or 4 almonds for garnish.

   Put the yogurt into a small mixing bowl, or into the four individual bowls or glasses.

   Pour the defrosted cherries, and the whole almonds into a

   food processor. Chop lightly, only until the cherries and nuts are slightly chopped.

   Pour the cherry and nut mixture into the yogurt and swirl slightly in the bowl of yogurt (or into the four dessert dishes or wine glasses.)

   Garnish each serving with a whole cherry and/or almonds.

   Return to the refrigerator until serving time.

   These ingredients can easily be decreased or increased to serve other numbers of guests.

    This is a healthy alternative to a typical dessert.
