1 whole Egg
2/3 cups Buttermilk
2 Tablespoons Oil
1/2 cups Pizza Sauce, Optional
Additional Mozzarella And Cheddar As Needed
1/2 pounds Bacon, Cooked And Crumbled

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, pepper, baking powder, baking soda, parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, and savory or marjoram. Add the 1/3 cup of mozzarella and 1/3 cup of parmesan and stir until blended.

In another small bowl, stir together the egg, buttermilk, and oil - then add it to the dry ingredients and stir until well mixed.

Scrape dough into a greased 9 inch cake pan and bake at 325F for 30-35 minutes, or until pale brown.

Spread on pizza sauce, if using, and add handfuls of cheese on top until nicely covered (or generously covered - say, over the top - as I did!) and sprinkle the cooked and crumbled bacon on top of that. Bake for about 10 more minutes, or until the cheese is melted and starting to become bubbly at the edges. Devour warm!!!
