Cheerio Surprise

   In saucepan or in microwave, heat the brown sugar and corn syrup until dissolved.

   Add the peanut butter; stir until well mixed and melted.

   Pour in cereal; stir until Cheerios are evenly coated.

   Press into an ungreased 8 x 8 x 2-inch square pan.

   Cool until firm, then cut in squares.
