Bring the eggs and milk up to room temperature.

Preheat the oven to 180C.

Heat the milk over low heat to warm it up a little.

Sift the flour.

Beat the eggs.

Heat up the popover pan or muffin pan in the oven.

Add the milk little by little to the eggs.

When the eggs and milk are combined...

Sift the flour again into the bowl with the eggs and milk.

Add the salt also, and mix together with a whisk.

The popover batter is done.

Butter the popover or muffin pan.

Fill the cups a bit less than halfway full.

Add about 2 pinches of Cheddar cheese to each cup.

Don't use up all the cheese.

Pour in the rest of the batter, and add the rest of the cheese on top.

Put into the preheated 180C oven and bake for 50 minutes.

It will smell very nice as it's baking.
