Catriece'S Chocolate Chip Cookies

   Preheat oven to 350u00b0. Combine flour and baking soda. Set aside. In a large bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Mix well. Stir in egg and vanilla until well blended. Add flour mixture and stir until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. For each cookie, drop 1/4 cup of dough onto a cookie sheet, leaving about 2 1/2-inches between each one. Bake at 350u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges harden and center is still soft.
