Caramelized Ritz Bits

   Preheat oven to 250u00b0.

   Grease a large, shallow pan.

   Combine crackers and nuts in a large pan.

   Bring butter, sugar and syrup to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.

   Remove from heat and add vanilla and soda.

   Pour over crackers.

   Stir well.

   Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

    Pour on wax paper, break apart and cool.
