1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon butter, divided
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 lb baking apple, cored and thinly sliced
1/4 cup apple juice or 1/4 cup apple cider
1/4 cup apple jelly
