Caramel Walnut Ice Cream Topping

   Scatter the nuts onto a baking sheet and toast in a 350u00b0F oven for about 5 minutes.

   To a saucepan, add the corn syrup, brown sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a simmer on medium heat, stirring often. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is well mixed and smooth.

   Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and nuts.

   Once cool, transfer the mixture to a large jar.

   Serve slightly warm or at room temperature, but keep refrigerated when not indulging.
