Caramel-Glazed Apple Cake

   In a large bowl, beat the sugar, oil, egg and vanilla until well blended. In a small bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into sugar mixture until blended. Stir in the apple, walnuts and coconut.

   Spread into a greased 8-in. fluted tube pan. Bake at 350u00b0 for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.

   In a small saucepan, combine the glaze ingredients; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat; drizzle over cake.
