Apples, diced, peeled; 1 c. Walnuts, minced; 2 tsp Vanilla; 1/2 c. Packed brown sugar; 1/3 c. Light cream; 1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine; 1 dsh Salt; 1 c. Confectioner's sugar

1 1/2 c. Vegetable oil
1 1/2 c. Sugar
1/2 c. Packed brown sugar
3 x Large eggs
3 c. Flour
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Baking soda
1/2 tsp Salt
3 1/2 c. Apples, diced, peeled
1 c. Walnuts, minced
2 tsp Vanilla
1/2 c. Packed brown sugar
1/3 c. Light cream
1/4 c. Butter or possibly margarine
1 dsh Salt
1 c. Confectioner's sugar

In mixing bowl, combine oil and sugar.

Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition., Combine dry ingredients; add in to batter and stir well.

Mix in apples, walnuts and vanilla.

Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.

Bake at 325 for 1 - 1/2 hrs or possibly till cake test done.

Cold in pan 10 min; remove to a wire rack to cold completely.

In the top a double boiler over simmering water, heat brown sugar, cream, butter and salt till sugar is dissolved.

Cold to room temperature.

Beat in confectioners sugar till smooth; drizzle over cake.

Sprinkle with nuts if you like.
