1
Start by making the Rice Krispie treats by combining the butter and marshmallows and microwaving them for 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.
-
2
Once melted, add the Rice Krispies and mix well.
-
3
Cover a cookie sheet with waxed paper and coat it with nonstick cooking spray.
-
4
Spray your hands with the nonstick cooking spray as well.
-
5
Using your hands, flatten the Rice Krispie mixture into a thin layer to cover about half the length of the cookie sheet.
-
6
Starting with the shortest side near you, lay a gummy worm and twizzler stick together on the Rice Krispie mixture.
-
7
You will likely have to lay more than one end to end to get the entire length of the roll.
-
8
Carefully roll the Rice Krispie mixture around the gummy worms/twizzlers, just enough to have the Rice Krispie mixture rolled ONCE around the candy.
-
9
Using a knife, cut the roll free from the Rice Krispie layer and set aside.
-
10
Repeat this process until you have used up all of your Rice Krispie mixture.
-
11
You will probably have 2-3 rolls.
-
12
Next, take the green fruit rollups (or whatever green fruit roll you could find at the storefruit by the foot works too), and wrap them around the Rice Krispie/candy rolls, trying not to let them overlap.
-
13
Use a knife and cut the rolls into 1-inch pieces.
-
14
Arrange on a plate to resemble a sushi roll.
-
15
To make nigiri, make another batch of Rice Krispie treats and this time just take small clumps (about 1/4 cup worth) of the Rice Krispie mixture and shape them into little rectangles with your fingers.
-
16
Place a Swedish fish on top and wrap strips of fruit roll ups around them to secure the fish.
-
17
Arrange the roll and nigiri on a sushi plate with chopsticks and dried apricots (to resemble ginger) to get the real effect!
