Prepare cake mix according to package instructions and bake according to package instructions. Once cake has cooled completely, crumble into a large bowl until you have fine crumbs and scoop in the can of frosting to mix into a paste. Place the bowl in the freezer and leave for about 2 hours so the mixture is cold and easier to handle. Form balls by either rolling a tablespoonful of mixture between your hands or by using a melon scooper and place on waxed paper. Once you have made the desired amount of balls, freeze them again for another hour. This receipe is easiest made in two phases; complete this part ahead of time and freeze overnight to complete the next day.

Now, heat the package of almond bark as instructed and drop frozen cake balls into the chocolate to coat. This is best done one at a time. Remove each ball from the chocoate by using a grilling fork (the ones with only two prongs) and a toothpick to slide the coated cake balls onto waxed paper to set and harden. Once all the cake balls are coated, drizzle any remaining chocolate over the tops to accent and add finishing touches. This step also conceals any blemishes.

The cake and frosting flavors can be changed to any combination and you can also use vanilla or white chocolate almond bark for the outer coating.
