8 ounces fettuccine
For the sauce
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, finely minced
1.5 cups dry white wine
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
salt and pepper, to taste
