Buttermilk Pie

   Beat egg yolk, sugar, flour and salt until well blended.

   Add buttermilk and butter. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.

   Bake in 9-inch pie shell at 450u00b0 for 10 minutes.

   Reduce oven to 350u00b0 and continue baking for 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
