Buttercream Frosting

   Mix the butter and the shortening together with an electric mixer (if you don't have a KitchenAid stand mixer, go buy one even if you have to donate blood-it's worth it).

   Add powdered sugar, milk and vanilla. Mix until fluffy. That's it! If you want your frosting to be a different color, add food coloring while you're mixing. If you have any left over (and you decide not to eat it while you're standing at the kitchen sink), make sure you cover it tightly and stick it in the fridge.
