   Mix flour, baking soda, and salt.

   Set aside.

   Mix beer and egg.

   Add in dry ingredients gently to the beer-egg mix.

   Stir to blend.

   Slice onions 1/4 inch thick and separate into rings.

   Dip onion rings in batter.

   Fry 2 to 3 min in warm oil.
