Mix flour, baking powder, granulated sugar, salt, and one tablespoon cocoa. Then add the milk, butter, and vanilla. Mix until smooth, add nuts (reserve some for sprinkling), and pour into the greased baking dish. Mix the brown sugar and the remaining two tablespoons of cocoa together then sprinkle over the batter. Also sprinkle a little bit of nuts over it, and then pour the boiling water over the top. This makes a chocolate sauce at the bottom when done cooking, which is impressive to me.

Bake at 350F for thirty to forty minutes, then cool before serving. The recipe suggests a half hour, but I was not nearly so patient.

Note: it was pointed out to me that I did not mention the pan size. Luckily, such information was on the bottom of my pan, SO, I used a 6x9 glass baking dish. But I don't see why this couldn't be anything, depending on what you want.
