Brown Sugar & Kinako Freeze-dried Tofu Snack

   We'll be using koya tofu for this recipe.

   Start by dissolving brown sugar in hot water.

   Preheat the oven to 160C (320F).

   Put the koya tofu in water for about 10 seconds.

   Make sure to squeeze all the water out of the koya tofu.

   Then cut it in strips about 5mm thick.

   These snacks taste best thin.

   Line up the cut koya tofu in a shallow pan or plate.

   Pour brown sugar you dissolved in hot water on top.

    Cover with kinako.

    Spread parchment paper on top of a baking sheet and place your tofu strips across the paper.

    Bake them in the oven at 160C (320F) for about 20 minutes.

    Then flip them over and bake at the same temperature for another 10 minutes.

    Once they are baked, you can just let them cool on the baking sheet.
