Broiler Cake

   Put 2 tablespoons butter in milk.

   Heat.

   Mix altogether the sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla and baking powder.

   Add heated milk and butter gradually.

   This will make a thin batter.

   Bake about 30 minutes in a 9 x 9-inch pan.

   When baked and still hot, frost with brown sugar, cream, 2 tablespoons melted butter and coconut mixture.

   Return cake to the oven and broil until frosting has caramelized.

   Cool.
