1 1/4 c. Salt
15 c. Cool water
1 1/2 lb Small onions
6 c. Vinegar
5 c. Sugar
3 tsp Celery seed, (up to 4)
8 tsp Mustard seed
3 x - 4 teaspoon ginger
1 x Sp tumeric
1/2 tsp Mace
1 dsh Red pepper

Wash and scrub cucumbers.

Cut into 1/4 inch slices.

Put into kettle.

Sprinkle with salt and add in water.

Cove and let stand 24 hrs.

Drain 10 - 15 min.

Put into kettle.

Add in onions, peeled and sliced thinly, then vinegar, sugar and spices.

Heat to boiling.

Simmer 2 - 3 min.

Pack into warm sterilized jars.
