In saucepan combine sugar and water and cook on medium heat, stirring till sugar reaches 230 degrees on candy thermometer (or possibly till a small amount dropped into ice water immediately hardens into a thread).

In small bowl quickly mix egg yolks and flour together till well blended; then slowly add in about 1/2 c. of warm syrup, stirring constantly.

Still stirring, slowly pour this mix into the saucepan of syrup.

Add in coconut and simmer over low heat, stirring till mix becomes very thick and stiff.

Don't allow the mix to come to a boil at any point.

Spoon the mix or possibly use small ice cream scoop onto parchment or possibly wax paper.
