Brandied Apples(Serves 7)

   Peel and core apples.

   Leave apples whole.

   Let water and sugar mixture come to a boil.

   Drop apples in mixture and add lemon juice.

   Cook on medium-high until tender.

   Don't stir or burn.

   Remove from heat.

   Pour into a casserole type baking dish. Add cherries.

   Bake in 375u00b0 oven until syrup boils up.

    Remove from oven and immediately add 1/2 cup bourbon or brandy.
